#WednesdayMannaWaterService April 5th, 2017. Topic: THE MYSTERY OF THE GOD OF ELIJAH Text: 2 Kings 2:11-14 Minister: Dr. D.K Olukoya (G.O MFM Worldwide) • The greatest thing that God gave to man is the power of Prayer. There is the Science of Prayers There is the Geography of Prayers. There is the Chemistry of Prayers. We will be talking little about it tonight. THE MYSTERY OF THE GOD OF ELIJAH. “And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan; And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and

LIFE INSPIRATION

The easiest way to a miserable life is to think everybody is talking about you. Learn to ignore and overlook many things if you truly want happiness in life. Never allow anyone to steal your joy from you. Never worry yourself about what people say behind your back because its none of your business as long as you are true to yourself. Sometimes minding your own business does not keep people out of your business. No matter your situation in life people will always talk. COWARDLY PASTORS EXPOSED

Image
Any pastor looking at faces in the church before delivering messages on repentance, separation and #holiness.... Is not FIT to be a PASTOR! THESE ONES HAVE NO "HOLY GHOST" IN THEIR GUTS! THEIR GUTS ARE FILLED WITH FEAR. "The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a LION." - PROV.28:1 These cowardly pastors fear men more than GOD. "The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth is trust in the Lord shall be safe." - Prov.29:25 "The fear of the LORD is to HATE EVIL: PRIDE, ARROGANCY, AND THE EVIL WAY, AND THE FROWARD MOUTH, DO I HATE." - PROV.8:13 These men do not rebuke SIN boldly and with all authority given them by GOD. They just pamper SIN. "These things speak, and exhort, and REBUKE with all authority. Let no man despise thee." - Titus 2:15 "Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him." - Luke 17:3 "PREACH TH

2 Thessalonians 3:3  NIV But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. A girl went to a party, but she ended up staying longer than planned and had to walk home alone.  She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, she asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a shortcut to her house, she decided to take it.  However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her.  She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. A comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped around her, and she felt as though someone was walking with her.  When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young woman had been raped

TRUE WISDOM FOR EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP

Image
Pro, 2:6-9. 2 chro 10:8. 1. The strength or the weakness of any church is the direct result of it's leaders. 2, whatever you are inside is what you reproduce. 3, the extent of your influence depends on the depth of your concern for others. 4, people who blame others for their failures or mistakes never overcome them. 5, you cannot be a truly effective leader unless you love people. 6, leaders are meant to help others become the people God created them to be. 7, when leaders don't listen, they stop gaining wisdom. 8, the greatest missing ingredients in Christian leaders today is credibility. 9, the key to how you treat people lies in how you think about them. 10, it's a matter of attitude, what you believe is revealed by how you act. 11, successful leaders recognize their errors, learn from them and then work to correct their faults. 12, A leader who is willing to take responsibility for their actions and be honest or transparent with their people is someone

Anger and it’s consequence

There was a viral photo today on the social media depicting a man who died at onigbongbo bus stop Maryland. Story behind the pix of the dead man goes thus... "A danfo brush his car, and this man left his car, remove his shoes and ran after the danfo, he try to hold the bus but the conductor push him away and another danfo coming hit him on his head and that was the end." This I can relate to the 2 scenarios below: Scenario 1: Two men were involved in a road rage in the ever busy Nyanya road in Abuja. One brushed the other's car without intention and without knowing. The fellow whose car was brushed pursued the other fellow, blocked him, came out of his car with his wheel spanner and commenced to break the head lamp of the other fellow. Scenario 2: A staff of the National Assembly, in an attempt to avoid knocking down an Okada rider who was driving against the traffic, rammed his car into a stationary vehicle. He came out of his car and engaged the cy

The Barber Shop.

Image
A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation and talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: I don’t believe that God exists. Why do you say that? asked the customer. Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn’t exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can’t imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things. The customer thought for a moment, but didn’t respond because he didn’t want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered

From: God To: All His Children Effective Immediately: Please be aware that there are changes you need to make in your life. These changes need to be completed in order that I may fulfill my promises to you to grant you peace, joy and happiness in this life. I apologize for any inconvenience, but after all that I am doing, this seems very little to ask of you. I know, I already gave you 10 Commandments. Keep them, but follow these guidelines as well. 1. QUIT WORRYING Life has dealt you a blow and all you do is sit and worry. Have you forgotten that I am here to take all your burdens and carry them for you? Or do you just enjoy fretting over every little thing that comes your way? 2. PUT IT ON THE LIST Something needs done or taken care of. Put it on the list. No, not YOUR list. Put it on MY to-do-list. Let ME be the one to take care of the problem. I can't help you until you turn it over to me. And, although my to-do-list is long, I am, after all, God. I can take

FOOD FOR THOUGHT : THE COLLAPSE OF A NATION.

Image
One of the University lecturers wrote an expressive message to his students at the doctorate, masters and bachelors level and placed it at the college entrance in the university in south Africa. And this is the message; *"Collapsing any Nation does not require use of Atomic bombs or the use of Long range missiles. But it requires lowering the quality of Education and allowing cheating in the exams by the students".* The patient dies in the hands of the doctor who passed his exams through cheating. And the buildings collapse in the hands of an engineer who passed his exams through cheating. And the money is lost in the hands of an accountant who passed his exams through cheating. And humanity dies in the hands of a religious scholar who passed his exams through cheating. And justice is lost in the hands of a judge who passed his exams through cheating. And ignorance is rampant in the minds of children who are under the care of a te

A SLICE OF LIFE

Jean heaved another world-weary sigh. Tucking a strand of shiny black hair behind her ear, she frowned at the teetering tower of Christmas cards waiting to be signed. What was the point? How could she sign only one name? A "couple" required two people, and she was just one. The legal separation from Don had left her feeling vacant and incomplete. Maybe she would skip the cards this year. And the holiday decorating. Truthfully, even a tree felt like more than she could manage. She had canceled out of the caroling party and the church nativity pageant. Christmas was to be shared, and she had no one to share it with. The doorbell's insistent ring startled her. Padding to the door in her thick socks, Jean cracked it open against the frigid December night. She peered into the empty darkness of the porch. Instead of a friendly face -- something she could use about now -- she found only a jaunty green gift bag perched on the railing. From whom? she wondered. And why?
