Louise Redden, a poorly dressed lady with a look of defeat on her face, walked into a grocery store. She approached the owner of the store in a most humble manner and asked if he would let her charge a few groceries. She softly explained that her husband was very ill and unable to work, they had seven children and they needed food. John Longhouse, the grocer, scoffed at her and requested that she leave his store at once. Visualizing the family needs, she said: 'Please, sir! I will bring you the money just as soon as I can.' John told her he could not give her credit, since she did not have a charge account at his store. Standing beside the counter was a customer who overheard the conversation between the two. The customer walked forward and told the grocer that he would stand good for whatever she needed for her family. The grocer said in a very reluctant voice, 'Do you have a grocery list?' Louise replied, 'Yes sir.' 'O.K' he said, '

An Eyeball Grows Back In South America Miracle accounts are on the increase in South America where the charismatic church is growing rapidly. When American student Alex Humphrey went on a mission trip to Peru with his home church, a colleague prayed that they would see an eyeball grow into someone’s head. The following morning they prayed for a man who had lost an eyeball in a childhood accident. ‘At the end of our prayer, I felt something move underneath my hand,’ recalls Humphrey. ‘His previously scarred shut eye was open and underneath I could see the white of an eyeball. By the time we left church he had two functioning eyeballs where once there was only one.’ Deafness Healed In Africa A revival is taking place among the Makua tribe in Mozambique. Hundreds of deaf people are being healed, according to evangelist Heidi Baker. A healing from deafness rate of almost 100% over the last ten years has led to over 2,700 churches being planted. Baker believes

Jesus promised that signs and wonders would follow those who believe. Justin Brierley reports on how Christ's words are coming true in countries around the world today. The story of baby Yasmin Gomes of Londrina, Brazil went viral last year. She stopped breathing shortly after she was born and, despite numerous attempts, the hospital staff were unable to resuscitate her. With no heartbeat or sign of oxygen in the body, a death certificate was issued by the doctor. A nurse placed the lifeless baby in a box on the altar of the hospital chapel. Naturally, the family were devastated. But when Yasmin’s grandmother came to collect the tiny body, she received the shock of her life. The baby’s leg kicked, and then she opened her eyes. After being ‘dead’ for three hours, Yasmin went on to experience a full recovery. Yasmin’s parents gave her the name Victoria – ‘victory’ in Portuguese – saying, ‘There is no explaining miracles. They happen as God wants. There must be a high

FINALLY! New Programmed Proteins Makes Malaria Vaccine Possible Israel21c.org News Staff — Israel21c.org Ahead of World Malaria Day, April 25, a new approach developed at Israel's Weizmann Institute of Science and tested at England's University of Oxford shows promise as the basis of a future inexpensive malaria vaccine that can be stored at room temperature. [ Israel21c.org ] Despite decades of malaria research, the disease still afflicts hundreds of millions and kills around half a million people each year – most of them children in tropical regions.  (Photo Credit: Pixino) The best deterrent would be a vaccine composed of some of the parasite's own proteins. However, those proteins identified as most promising for a malaria vaccine are unstable at tropical temperatures and require complicated, expensive cellular systems to produce them in large quantities. Yet the vaccines are most needed in areas where refrigeration is lacking and funds to buy vaccines

Jeremiah 31:1 In a strongly-worded and emotionally charged speech to a major Jewish group in honor of  Holocaust Remembrance Day , President Donald Trump commemorated the victims of the Holocaust, emphasized the need to remember the genocidal atrocity, and celebrated the modern state of Israel as a symbol of Jewish perseverance. “On  Yom HaShoah , we look back at the darkest chapter of human history,” Trump began, using the Hebrew phrase for Holocaust Remembrance Day, which falls on April 24. “We mourn, we remember, we pray, and we pledge: Never again. I say it, never again.” His powerful comments, delivered passionately in strong language, came in a pre-recorded video address to an assembly of

Why I Believe in Jesus What makes Jesus different? Shamitha "Sam" Yapa   I didn't always feel that way. I came to the United States to attend a small state college. I planned to go on to medical school. My first year of college was perfect. I was getting great grades, and I had a girlfriend and lots of friends. And I was quick to point out to people that I had all of this without relying on anyone but me. I knew plenty of Christians. In fact, I read the Bible often, just so I could argue with Christians. I wanted to know what they believed so I could break down their reasons for believing. For example, my biophysics professor was a Christian. He would tell me about the miracles in his life, the ways he supposedly saw God's work in the world. But I thought he was way off. I'd argue with him, and try to convince him he was foolish to believe in Jesus. His faith was a joke to me. It didn't take long for God to change my mind. During my junior year of

THE DOCTRINE OF THE HERETIC The church that believes in the power of faith and beer. Hebrews 13:9 Do not be carried away by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited. The bible warned against the doctrine of the false prophets, yet many belong to the school of ingnoramus.  If drinking beer has become one of the ways the healing virtue can be transmitted to the sick, I guess the average drunkard in our society will be the most healthy person. Don't be fooled by the doctrine of the heretic.  Jesus warned us againt the false prophet and there doctrines.  This is definatelly the scheme of darkness to lure unsuspecting victims into sin, drunkenness and ungodliness. There is a church in Congo, where members  are instructed to drink beer in order to cast out demons from their lives. The members of  Louzolo Amour church, believe that, “biĆ©ramici

Where are You God? by Michelle Lynn Senters   It is within our nature as humans to align our perception of God’s presence with our current circumstances. In simplest terms, when things work in our favor, we feel God’s presence and blessing. When things become difficult, we assume He is distant and perhaps indifferent to our struggles. As a single mother, I defined myself as profoundly alone. I woke up alone. Went to bed alone. Cared for my children alone. Wrapped Christmas presents alone. Cried alone. This loneliness skewed my perception of God’s presence because I unknowingly blamed Him for my feelings of isolation and abandonment. And my unanswered prayers for the companionship of a husband only intensified my perception of God’s distance and indifference. I now understand that God, in His infinite mercy, allowed me to wait for a husband so that  He might become my Unseen Companion --my first love. But  itwould take God eight long years to convince me of His presen

How to Have a Scream-Free Morning Routine by Lisa-Jo Baker For the Mom Who’s Tired of Parting with Tears and Guilt (Again): There’s a morning I wish I could forget. But the memory is lodged in my mind like a splinter. So I try not to go to near it because it hurts. This painful memory of a painful morning. That pressure cooker time of day. That hour and a half when every single child will inevitably want something different to eat, lose a shoe or both socks or suddenly decide none of their underwear fits right. That time of day when you’re trying to be on time. Just once, for mercy’s sake can we not be the ones pelting out the door as the bus chugs away. Just once can the toddler agree to eat out of the red bowl. Just once can we make it with some semblance of normalcy instead of melting down into temper tantrums and tears and guilt. Oh that terrible guilt. I would dread the mornings. I would pray and plan and hope they’d be different. But then I’d wake
